Remember When

Some of my favorite November ladies were talking about "remember when" and I thought it was hilarious and wanted to share!! I added some of my own commentary at the end of some of them :)

Remember when:

Remember when you could sleep in past the wee hours of the morning? {7:00 AM is sleeping in now!}

Remember when we could eat dinner without shoveling it in?

Remember when we could shower without a tiny person screaming to join you?

Remember when we had time to shave? {yeah...}

Remember when you could take a nice long shower without having to worry about your children getting into something destructive?

Remember when plans don't have to be made around naps and getting little people ready to go?

Remember when you could just "up and go" with plans on the fly?

Remember when your living room was clutter (re:toy) free? {Sarah G. hahaha this is SO you!}

Remember when you used to text your husband things other than "did she poop yet today?"

Remember when you could sit on the couch and watch a whole movie with no interruptions?

Remember when you could go shopping for hours without having to be back for naps, snacks, and dealing with crabbiness?

Remember when you could get from the first floor of your house to the second floor without having to pass through a gate?

Remember when you actually dressed with a plan instead of just making sure all the big chunks of food have been removed?

Remember when there used to be weekly date nights?

Remember when Elmo was nothing more than a vague memory from your own childhood?

....I don't remember any of this. It's been too damn long...

Remember when there was quiet in the house?

Remember when you drank a cup of coffee and it was still relatively warm at the end?

Remember when you didn't cheer in victory for getting to sleep through the entire evening uninterrupted?

Remember when you could get wasted and sleep it off the next day? {Oh college...}

Remember when it didn't take a weekend + to recover from getting wasted?

Remember when you used to think you were soooo busy?

Remember when you were sick and got to just lay around and get better?

Remember when you could stay up past 9pm without toothpicks holding your eyes open?

Remember when you had nice things?

Remember when your purse was 10 lbs lighter because you didn't have an extra diaper, wipe, fruit pouch, desitin, sun hat, sunscreen or fake cell phone toy in it?

Remember when you had absolutely no idea who Caillou was? {DAMN YOU CAILLOU}

Remember when there wasn't snot on your shirt? {Eleanor Cope!!}

Remember when you could nap whenever you felt you needed or wanted to?

Remember when you could pee alone? {By alone I mean without a child running in after your going "Boom" as he opens and slams the cabinet doors open and shut!  Or if you run and shut the door behind you the screaming and banging that happens until you get out of the bathroom...good times}

Remember when you only had to get yourself ready & out the door in the morning?

Remember when grocery shopping alone seemed like a chore?

Remember when your money went to a salon instead of diapers, wipes, and Gerber?  {Monthly pedicures?}        

                    

Would we change it for the world? HELL NO! But, it is still funny looking back at all the times we thought we had it difficult.  Fast forward to our lives now!
